Exercise 14 - Principles of Design - Definition of Repetition, Pattern, Rhythm and Movement.


Pattern: Is the planned or random repetition of one or more elements.
Repetition: the action of repeating something that has already been said or written or drawn.
Rhythm: Is concerned with repeating an element (color,  shape, line) to make a work seem active or to suggest movement.
Movement: Is used to guide a  viewer’s eye throughout the work of art.

 Harmony :Similar elements like colors, shapes and textures composed together to create a more calm and restful  appearance.

Exercise 9 - principles of design - balance in design


My design is balanced in an asymmetrical way because I placed two small objects on the right side and one big object on the left side. The value of the colors is similar to each other so it's balanced too.

The balance here achieved by radial balance and its based on a circle with its design extending from its center.The piece radiates from a center point.
